Imogene Daugherty

Imogene Burchfield Daugherty went to be with the Lord May 17, 2011. She was born on January 9, 1923 in Kentucky to the late William and Zadie Burchfield. She was the third of four children. Imogene married Raymond Daugherty in 1940. Together they had 7 children whom she raised alone after Raymond’s early death. Imogene was introduced to Christ as a young mother and continued to do the Lord’s will until her death. Imogene will be remembered for her strong faith, great cooking and devotion to the Lord. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Paul L. and Roy Burchfield, and Joyce Evelyn Mitchell. She buried two sons, Gregory Lee and Bobby Kenneth Daugherty. She is survived by sons: Sherman Ray, Phillip Terry and Joseph Alan Daugherty; daughters, Charlotte Hostetter and Rosemary Madsen; along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 21st at 10:30 A.M. at Sunrise Baptist Church located at 4225 Volcanic; El Paso, TX 79904. The family is requesting donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
