Imelda A. Jimenez

Our cherished Imelda Jimenez, 92, went home to rest with Our Lord on October 27, 2016. She was wonderfully reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Manuel Jimenez Sr. She is survived by sisters: Graciela Esquivel, Guadalupe Baca and Magdalena Enriquez. Her legacy is carried on by her children: Imelda Reyes (Prisciliano), Manuel Jimenez Jr. (Susie), Armando Jimenez (Julie), Esther Gallegos (Manuel) and Irene Garcia. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was a devoted woman with a larger than life personality and a fierce love for her God, her family and her COWBOYS! Our Imelda was a one of a kind woman who touched many lives in such a positive way along her journey. Visitation will be from 4:00-9:00 p.m., with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 31st 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina Dr. Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 1st 2016 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 171 Polo Inn Rd. Interment will immediately follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Frank Reyes, James Jimenez, Steven Alarcon, Michael Gallegos, Jesse Garcia Jr. and Reuben Lucy. Honorary Pallbearers are Hector Reyes, Armando Reyes, and Rene Gallegos. Imelda’s family would like to thank the staff of Del Sol Hospital, Quantum Home Health, Gentiva Hospice and countless extended family, friends and loved ones we have been blessed with that have helped us through this difficult time.
