Ignacia Munoz, 77, a former long time resident of El Paso who moved to Las Cruces, NM, and lived there the past 6 years, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008 after a long illness. Born in Van Nuys, CA to Jose and Cruz Morales. Although her education was limited, being self-taught, she became well-known for her outstanding faith and extensive knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. Those who knew her knew of her compassion and caring for others. She would always go out of her way to lend a helping hand. She was preceded in death by her son, Ignacio Caldera. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Alfredo T. Munoz, Sr., children: Manuel L. Caldera, Reina Rodriguez, Donald Marquez, Alfredo M. Munoz, Jr., Teresa Munoz, Mario Munoz, and Salvador Munoz, 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Her family would like to give a special thanks to Adolfo, Pablo, Asai and Larry at Providence ICM for their excellent care. A graveside service and interment will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 9:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Service entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
