Hugh L. Anderson

Hugh L. Anderson, 88, passed away on Sunday, May 1st, 2022.

Hugh was born in Grants Pass, OR on Sept 29th, 1933. He graduated from Benson High School and then left Portland to serve his country proudly in the United States Army in 1954. He would later marry the love of his life Lidia in January of 1972.

Hugh worked as a Civil Servant after retiring from the US Army after 30 years of honorable service to his country, he had over 50 years of combined distinguished service to his country. He loved bowling, fishing, and hiking especially in Yellowstone Park.

Hugh was preceded in death by his parents; Hugo and Dorothy, his brother’s John and Fernando, sister Eleanor, and his son Brian. He survived by his wife Lidia, daughters Debbie Blackwell, Marilyn Collins, Laura Martinez, sons Julio Martinez and Greg Anderson. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation with Rosary will be held on May 9th, from 5 to 8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home – Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Funeral Mass will be held on May 10th at 12:00 PM at Holy Trinity – 10000 Pheasant Rd, El Paso.
