Hortencia Alcala

Hortencia Parra Alcala, 75 passed away on May 12, 2023. Mrs. Alcala is survived by her husband Roberto Alcala. She is preceded in death by her parents Ignacio and Jesusita Parra. Mrs. Alcala was born in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua on August 31, 1947. She is survived by her brothers, several nieces and nephews, numerous cousins including Cristina Molinar, 93 years young and many friends. Mrs. Alcala was a home health provider for many years. She was also a babysitter to neighborhood kids and younger cousins.  She enjoyed music, family parties and kermesses in the summer. She also cared for her beloved cat Tigressa.

Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM with a Prayer Service at 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina.  Inurnment will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 9, 2023 at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
