God knew you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered come with me. Mr. Ruhl was born at Walter Reed, Washington, D.C. on September 25, 1926 and passed away on December 2, 2008, a long time resident of El Paso, TX. Veteran of the WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Wars, honored and decorated many times over, he served his country with pride and integrity. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth, whom he married December 23, 1948 in Rutland, VT; sons, Michael L. (Barbara) Ruhl and Stephen K. (Louise) Ruhl; grandsons, Michael Jr. and Brian; granddaughter, Kristina; two great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Rivenburgh and Karin Horst; several sisters and brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews. He loved his family and cherished his friends. A wonderful and kind man has left us. Death brings a heartache that no one can heal. Love gives us memories that no one can steal. We will miss him dearly. The family wishes to thank friends, neighbors, doctors, nurses and healthcare workers for their support and kindness during our time of need. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am, Monday, December 8, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
