Hildegard Herta Martinez

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and great-grandmother, Hildegard Herta Martinez, 90, passed away Saturday December 19th, 2020. “Hilde” was born on January 9th, 1930 in Dusseldorf Germany. Leaving her family and native Germany with kids in tow, she arrived in the United States. She learned English, raised a family while husband was off at war, got a job, the last one at Irvin High School Snack bar, and learned to drive, after buying a car! Mom loved her family, Grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She baked, cooked, knit and crocheted. People always spoke of her sense of humor, she loved making people laugh. She was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Getting away for picnics to Cloudcroft New Mexico was a fun time for all. Hilde was preceded in death by her infant daughter Manuela and leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years Manuel E.
