Herlinda C. Maynes

Herlinda C. Maynes entered into the hands of her Lord at the age of 66 on March 30, 2024. She was born in El Paso, Texas on January 17, 1958 to James Griffin and Anita Carrillo. She is survived by her beloved husband Jesus Manuel Maynes, son Gabriel Carrillo, daughter Annette Maynes as well as 7 grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

To the world, she may have been one person, but to our family, she was the world. In hardship, she was our stable rock; in moments of joy, she was the sparkler at the forefront of every celebration. Our grandmother lived her life with a rare kind of generosity—the kind that's bottomless and expects nothing in return. It's a generosity that has taught us more about kindness and giving than any book ever could. 

To our sweet, irreplaceable Grandma, your absence leaves a void no one else can fill. But in our hearts and stories, you are immortal. On behalf of our hearts, our family, and anyone who has had the privilege of knowing you—we thank you, we celebrate you, and we promise to carry your love and lessons forward.

We love you, Grandma. Always and forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary to follow at 6:00pm on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Homes- Northeast. Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at our Lady of Assumption (Time Pending) with a Committal Service to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
