Herbert Earl Warren passed away on July 3, 2010. He was born March 30, 1929 in Beggs, Oklahoma. He served in the US Army for 21 years and fought in the Korean War. He had many achievements during his service such as receiving a Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, ACCC (Japan), Sharpshooter, and Parachute and Glider Badge. He received his Bachelors Degree in Science Education and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Texas at El Paso. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Ananias and Henrietta Warren; son, Luis Tosky; brothers Emer and A.V. Coburn, and Otis Warren. He is survived by his wife Maria Warren; sons, Porfirio Tosky (Lety), Javier Tosky (Anna), and Herbert Warren Jr. (Ranmana); daughters, Bertha Cortina (Victor), Raquel Cabassa (William), Becky Ortiz (Elwin), Elva Richey (Noel), Liliana Nevarez (Chris); daughter-in-law, Patricia Tosky; brother, Robert Warren; sisters, Lois E. Hopson and Mary L. Creamer; grandchildren, Corina Fierro, Stephanie Meza, Amy Lyels, Melissa Tosky, Pilo Tosky, William Cabassa, Matthew Cabassa, Ashley Cabassa, Linda Ortiz, Johnny Ortiz, Javier Tosky Jr., Jackie Tosky, Luis Tosky Jr., Celeste Tosky, Erica Austin, Leandros Cooper, Alicia Tosky-Richey, Brandon Nevarez, Tanisha Warren, Tyla Warren, and Tyana Warren; great-grandchildren; Jerry Jr., Jeramy, Jasmine, Joseph, Arath, Anthony, Jerimiah, Jerzey, Christan, Isac, Cecilia, Luis II, Kiara, Ryan Jr., and Nevah. Family was very important to our Father. He touched each and every one of our lives. He was an advocate of reaching out to those less fortunate and supporter of many charities. He volunteered his time to different civic organizations. We will eternally be grateful to him and will deeply miss him. Love you, Your Family. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 12:45 pm, Friday, July 9, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
