Henry Enrique Alvarado

Enrique “Henry” Alvarado Jr, passed away on February 9, 2022 in El Paso, TX. Henry is preceded in death by his parents; Enrique H. Alvarado Sr and Maria “Mickey” Alvarado. He is survived by his wife; Leticia, his children; Alejandro (Holli), David, and Ana Lisa, his grandson, Gannon, his sisters; Aida, Sylvia (Ray), and Patsy (Bobby). He is also survived by many family members and friends that cherish and honor his memory. Henry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend. His guiding light will be sorely missed. Henry was an architectural draftsman and for 45 years was the proud owner of EA Designs. He loved to point out the many homes and businesses around El Paso that he had designed. During his career he worked with many builders and was essential in the development of “The Willows” with Ron Ward, the many homes around Franklin High School with Mel Mashburn at Meca Homes, and most recently, homes with Edgar and Maribel Garcia at Bella Vista Custom Homes. As a community member of the Upper Valley, he was active in Boy Scouts as a troop leader, deeply involved with AYSO soccer as both a coach and referee, as well as a Southwest Officials Association High School soccer referee. Additionally, he committed his time to participate as a Canutillo High School band booster, Canutillo ISD School board member, parishioner and usher at St Matthew Catholic Church. He was a craftsman and builder of ideas brought to life. He loved and was deeply committed to his family, using his gifts any chance he could. From building a home for his family to helping Leticia with all of her science experiments that needed to be built. He was always there for his family. Whenever his children needed help, whether for school, money, or advice, he was there. Right by their side to help out; to give that little bit of extra push. Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 05, 2022 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm with a Rosary to be followed at 2:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home – West. Honorary pallbearers are Miguel Grijalva, Christopher Grijalva, Daniel Gutierrez, Nickolas Gutierrez, Becca Gregory, Robert Moreno, JJ Lopez, Marilu Arceneaux, and Gabriel Lopez. Honorary Pawbearers are Kiki, Bebop, Roxie, Sophie, Howl, Gustavo, Charlie, and Murphy. Special thanks to Matrix Home Health Care, nurse Alma, physical therapist Diana, speech therapist Denise, and occupational therapist Ashle. Additionally the family would like to thank Dr. Alfonso Chavez, and most especially, with loving gratitude for his years of caring for Henry, Dr. Muneer Assi.
