Heliodoro “Leo” Valadez, 77, of El Paso Texas
Passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006.
Heliodoro Valadez, born in Wilmington, CA, married Anita in 1948, spending 58 wonderful years together. Among his many accomplishments, he owned and operated Best Buy Tortilla Factory for 27 years, receiving the award of “Small Businessman of the Year” for one of ten regions in the United States. He was a devoted Catholic, husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend, who touched the lives of many and will be missed immeasurably.
Heliodoro, also known as “Peewee” is survived by: his wife, Anita; his nine children, Jesus Valadez, Roberto Valadez, Yolanda Herrera, Patricia Perez, Dora Candelaria, Maria Cisneros, Alma Andrade, Leonor Elorreaga and Lilia Clack, twenty-seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One brother, three sisters, and many nieces and nephews also survive him.
Funeral Services: Sunset Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Rosary services will be Sunday, December 3rd, at 4:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 7712 Rosedale Road. Viewing will follow at Sunset Funeral Home/Americas, 9521 N. Loop Dr. from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held December 4th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 7712 Rosedale Road. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 12400 Montana. Pallbearers will be: Jesus A. Valadez, Roberto A. Valadez, Jesus A. Valadez, Jr., Gabriel Herrera, Raymond Perez, Manny Mendoza and Jimmy D. Candelaria, Jr.
