Helen Louise Yarbrough (nee Warmuth), 92, joined her beloved husband, Joe C. Yarbrough, Saturday, October 10, 2009. Louise, a longtime El Paso resident, was born in San Jon, NM on November 20, 1916 and succumbed peacefully to a long battle with breast cancer surrounded by family at her home in Austin, TX. Louise, a first-generation American, grew up the daughter of a butcher and farmer and graduated second in her class from high school. Eventually, Louise found herself working in a Tyler beauty salon with her lifelong best friend, Lucille Jenkins. Louise and Lucille married their husbands in a double ceremony on Christmas Eve 1942. Joe and Louise settled in El Paso where they built a successful construction company beginning with the construction of their own home. After Joe's passing in 1970, Louise took control of the family businesses and investments and became a successful investor and businesswomen in her own right. Louise had a wonderful life filled with family, friends her dogs, a passion for bridge and spending time at her Ruidoso home in the mountains of New Mexico. Louise was preceded in death by her parents Aquilin and Theresia (nee Nosky) Warmuth and six siblings. Louise is survived by her four daughters and their families: Linda and husband William Brown of Austin and their sons, Joseph and Patrick Brown, Diane and husband David Higgins of El Paso and her children Jennifer Delaney and Daniel Kelly, Shirley and husband Rodney Kelly of Austin and their children Thomas and Richard Kelly and Linda Townsend, and Claudette and husband Llynal Carey of Denton and their children Stephen, Eric and Julie Carey, as well as 16 great grandchildren. There will be a graveside service 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps Dr., El Paso, TX. Pallbearers will be her seven grandsons: Joseph Brown, Thomas Kelly, Patrick Brown, Richard Kelly, Daniel Kelly, Stephen Carey, Eric Carey and Paul Townsend.
