A man of many hats, literally, Hector Ramirez entered the Kingdom of Heaven June 18, 2009. He began his life in south El Paso on August 7, 1947. After graduating from Jefferson High School 67’ he served the army during the Vietnam War. He graduated with a business degree from UTEP where he met the love of his life, Connie. After they were married, he pursued his dream and opened Chaparral Auto Parts. As his family grew he began a 2nd career with the US Post Office. He always enjoyed Busch beer as he snacked on Chicharones. His travels were as varied as Yellowstone National Park to Venice, Italy. An annual road trip across the country with his family was his favorite time of year. He was truly the world’s greatest husband, father, and friend. Hector will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Connie, children, Hector Denny, David Luis and Roxanne, grandson, David Luis Ramirez, sisters, Irene Bromley, Robin Garcia, and brothers, Alfredo and Johnny Ramirez. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm-9:00 pm, Sunday, June 21, 2009 with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 am, Monday, June 22, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will be at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
