Hector René Amador, 48, El Paso Native and long-time resident of the Highland Village/Flower Mound (Texas) area. Hector René Amador passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 25, 2012. He was 48 years old. Hector was born in El Paso, Texas and graduated from Bowie High School where he excelled as a basketball student-athlete. He attended the University of Texas at El Paso before venturing into the world of Real Estate where he developed a reputation for exceptional customer service. Hector was a seasoned Real Estate Broker with more than 24 years of experience in the field including more than 16 years as a member of the Ebby Halliday Realtors team in Dallas/Fort Worth. A dedicated professional who challenged himself daily , Hector fulfilled a second professional goal in 2002 when he earned a Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems in Business from the University of North Texas. He was a loving father and a loyal friend who listed Real Estate Investing, remodeling, sports and a good game of poker among his hobbies. Hector was recently preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Amalia Amador, who passed away on June 14, 2012. He is survived by his daughter Sasha Renée Amador of Highland Village/Lewisville, mother Gloria Amador of El Paso, TX, brother; Sergio Amador of El Paso, TX, aunt Sandra Amador-Duffey and her husband Shedrick Duffey of El Paso, TX his former wife of 16 years and the mother of his daughter, Leticia Hernandez-Amador, aunts, his uncle, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Hector was a vibrant soul who loved spending time with friends and family. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life on Friday, November 30, 2012 with visitation from 4-9 pm and a Rosary evening service at 7 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home East, 750 N. Carolina In El Paso. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 1st at 9:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1050 N. Clark in El Paso. Interment will follow at the Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragosa Rd. Palbearers will be, Sergio Amador, Ruben Amador, Carlos Carlos, Ruben Gomez Sr., Shedrick Duffey, Jose Luis Soto, William Castañeda and Flavio Carlos. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
