Harry Lee Butler, 86, joined his parents Albert and Ruth, and his sister Alberta, in heaven on February 25th, 2025. Dad was born in Phoenix Arizona on April 22, 1938. He graduated from Austin High School and went on to play baseball in Alpine. Dad returned to El Paso and joined the El Paso Fire Department retiring as a Captain. He went on to work at NMSU as the Fire Chief, and county of Dona Ana in emergency management where he was given an award for rescuing a young girl in a snow storm. Dad had many hobbies, some of which drove Mom crazy. He made Indian flutes and played them all the time, eventually he got better. Dad loved making jewelry, anything he could do with his hands, until his vision failed him. Dad spent many hours in his yard and garden. He was also a licensed pilot.

Dad wore many hats, Fireman, Mason, Deacon, softball coach, Husband, Dad, and his favorite, Grandpa and Pepaw.

Harry leaves behind his wife of nearly 58 years Barbara, his children James (Shirley), Terri (Wally), Brian (Sandra) and Dottie (Manny), his brother Robert and his adored Grandchildren and great Grandchildren. Nicole (Terrill, Sophie, Maddox), Brian (Jodi, Brian, Blaine, Madison), Cameron (Magdalena, Vivienne, Malana), Alexandra (Chloe, Emily, Aubrey, Kelsey, Willow), Philip and Zachary (Jonah), and Jim's extended family.
