Harold Ray Jeffries

Harold Ray “Jeff” Jeffries was a patriotic American who loved God, his family and his country. He was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on September 30, 1931 to Walter Leslie and Birdie Lou Jeffries. He left this world to join our heavenly father on June 23, 2009 surrounded by his immediate family. He is survived by his wife, Kazuko “Peggy” Jeffries, his three daughters: Felicia Kim Jeffries, Safrona Renee Jeffries O’Brien, and Sabrina Jo Jeffries Sciulli. He also leaves behind his beloved and only grandson, Xavier Michael Sciulli, as well as his loving sisters, Lorine Hyde and Marcille Walker. He will join his other family members in God’s heavenly embrace: his mother Birdie Lou, his father Walter Leslie, his brother Walter Lee, and his sister Louise Trousdale. Harold Ray proudly served in the United States Army for 21 years and retired with the rank of Sergeant First Class in 1969. He continued his federal service working in the Radiology Department at William Beaumont Army Medical Center from 1973-1993. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast. Committal Service will be at 10:30 am, Monday, June 29, 2009 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
