Guillermo Nieto

Guillermo Nieto, 72, passed away on February 7, 2008. He was born on October 12, 1935. He is preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Yolanda Nieto. Mr. Nieto is survived by his wife of 53 years, Socorro Nieto, sons: Guillermo Nieto Jr.(Guille), Gilberto Nieto(Judy), Gustavo Nieto(Norma) & David Nieto(Marta); daughters: Sylvia Grijalva (Pilar), Susana Nieto & Yvianna Candia; brothers: Jose, Ricardo, Juan & Tony; sisters: Manuela, Maria, Isabel, Lupe, Clara, Nena, Rosemary & Celia; 24 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren; raised 6 nephews and nieces: Javier, Jaime, Alfredo, Lupe, Sandra & Graciela Diaz. Mr. Nieto retired from Phelps Dodge after 37 years of service. He loved to sing, watch the Dallas Cowboy’s and tell stories. He will be greatly missed for he was a wonderful, loving, caring and humble man. May he rest in peace for now he is in God’s Presence. Visitation will be from 3:00-9:00 pm with a vigil at 7:00 pm Monday, February 11, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas located at 9521 North Loop Drive. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen East Cemetery .
