Guillermo Collazo, 57, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011. Mr. Collazo is preceded in death by his parents; Billie and Hermina Collazo, step-father; Roy Cyrus, son; Daniel Collazo III. He is survived by his loving companion Yolanda Escobar, son; Robert Escobar, daughters; Angelica, Samantha, and Julie Collazo, Kimberly and Claudia (Johnny) Escobar, brother; Daniel (Lourdes) Collazo, sister; Josephine (Tim) Shay, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, 8 grandchildren. Mr. Collazo was a veteran of the Army; He retired from ICE after 25 years in San Antonio, TX as Field Officer and worked as Immigration Detention Supervisor Officer, ICE Air Operations in El Paso, Texas, Immigration Inspector as well. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Rosario, Dialysis Center & Staff, Providence Wound Institute Staff and to Dr. Syeko, Thelma Diaz, Sierra Providence East and Dr. Janss & Staff. Special thanks to family & friends, ICE Agents Jesus Placencia, Manny Avila, Joe Cardiel, Immigration Honor Guard and ICE Agents. Visitation will held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Funeral Mass will be said at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
