Guadalupe Silva Rodriguez

December 20 - On the same day she was born, our beautiful Guadalupe left us to be with God and all our other angels in heaven. It was her 85th birthday, a special exit for a special person.  All those who knew her loved her. She lit up the room with her smile and infectious laugh, and was one of the funniest people we know. Whether you spoke Spanish or not, you could somehow communicate together. She was a true nurturer at heart, as she always took care of family and friends through illness and tough times. She always supported every single one of us and made sure to be there for our special moments. She loved hard, especially when it came to her husband Arturo. They have been married nearly 65 years and their love was so evident after spending even 30 seconds in their presence.

We are lucky that we were able to be with her on her last days and we pray she is resting in peace now. Mama, you told me when I hugged you goodbye, “te quiero mucho, nos vemos pronto, y que Dios te bendiga.” Save a dance for US!

20 de Diciembre – En el mismo dia que nacio, nuestra Hermosa Guadalupe nos dejo para estar con Dios y todos nuestros angeles en el cielo.  Cumpleo sus 85  años, fue una salida especial para una persona muy especial.  Todos los que la conocian la amaban.  Ella brillaba el cuarto con su sonrisa y risa contagiosa, y era una de las personas mas alegres y chistosa que conocemos.  Si las personas hablaban Español o no, usted podia comunicarse con ella.  Era ella una cuidadora de Corazon, asi como ella siempre cuido familia y amistades en tiempos dificiles y de mal salud.  Ella siempre a todos apoyo y aseguro estar en todos nuestros momentos especiales en la vida.  Ella amo fuerte, especialmente a su esposo Arturo.  Ellos estuvieron casados casi 65 años y su amor era muy evidente despues de estar en presencia 30 segundos.

Fuimos muy afortunados de estar a su lado en sus ultimos dias y resamos pidiendo que ella este descansando en paz.  Mama, cuando de abrase adios tu me dijiste “te quiero mucho, nos vemos pronto, y que Dios te bendiga.”  Guarda un baile para NOSOTROS!

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Homes - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 8011 WIlliamette. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza.
