Guadalupe "Beanie" Segovia

July 7, 1959 — August 9, 2011

Guadalupe “Beanie” Prangner Segovia, 52, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on August 9, 2011. She was born on January 7, 1959 to Jorge and Maria O. Prangner. Beanie was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX and graduated from Coronado High school in 1977. She later went on to pursue a degree in education from NMSU; taught Kindergarten at Roberts Elementary School. She left her teaching passion to pursue her love of baking in which she turned into a small business. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed riding on motorcycles with her husband Moises. Beanie was a member of the Catholic Community and an A.C.T.S. sister. She was also a devoted animal rights activist. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Moises Segovia, her two daughters, Jessica Segovia and Briana Milcarsky. Also left to cherish her memory are her loving parents, Jorge L. and Maria O. Prangner. Supportive siblings, George, Antonio, Chuy, and Joe Prangner, Sandra Marentes, Mary Othman, Lisa Garcia, and Stephanie Holderfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loyal pets, Napoleon, Sarge, and Maya. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm, Friday, August 12, 2011 with a vigil at 7 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home-West, Chapel of Remembrance. A funeral mass will be held at 9 am, Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Her family would like to thank Damian Campos and the Oncology Staff of Providence Memorial Hospital for their dedicated service. Donations can be made in her honor to Animal Rescue or The American Cancer Association. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
