Guadalupe Saldaña

April 12, 1926 — May 6, 2013

Guadalupe R. Saldaña, 87, of El Paso, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013. Lupita received her Pastoral certification in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon and was also an elementary teacher in Mexico. Later she became a U.S. Citizen and was an active member of the Catholic religion. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling. Family was her passion and joy. Guadalupe is preceded in death by her husband Gilberto Saldaña, her son, Gilberto Saldaña Jr. (Miriam), Grandchildren Diana Franco, Lupito Robles, Raul Rodriguez, and great grandson, Jonathan Martinez. She is survived by her son, Miguel A. Saldaña (Terry), daughters, Graciela Rodriguez (Guadalupe), Gloria Morales (Pilar), Candelaria Juarez, Aurora Iniguez (Miguel), Maria Carr (Gale), Silvia Martinez (Francisco), Isela Saldaña, Lidia Martinez (Ted), Benita Robles (Guadalupe), 33 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. The family wishes to thank the staff and administration of El Paso Health & Rehab Center. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m-9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Americas. Mass of the Ressurection will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
