Grover C. McKay

Grover C. McKay, born to Addie H. McKoy and Grover McKay on November 11, 1939, in Lillington, NC, was called to rest on January 4, 2011 in El Paso, TX. He resided in Buffalo, NY from early childhood through his young adult life; served in the US Army before beginning his career with American Airlines for over 30 years. He retired in March 2002, in El Paso, TX. He is survived by two daughters, Karen Thomas (Edward) and Keischa McKay, two siblings, Cleopatra McIver and Thomas McKay (Etellka); two grandchildren, Edward II and Marcus Thomas, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be held in Greensboro, NC, 10:00 a.m., January 18, 2011 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1210 S. Eugene St. and internment at 2:00 p.m. at Salisbury National Cemetery, in Salisbury NC. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
