Grace G. Ortiz

Grace Galvan Ortiz passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007 after her battle with cancer which she fought courageously. For 5 years her determination to survive and her will touched many suffering from cancer. A devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Albert H. Ortiz, sisters, Gloria (Victor) Duran, and Margie Viramontes, sons, David Pena, Javier Pena, Ruben Pena and five grandchildren, Christina, Angelica, Annette, Ruben Jr., and Amanda. She is also survived by her Uncle Luis Galvan. She preceded in death by her little sister Olga Galvan. She worked many years as a supervisor at Billy the Kid, a manager at R. G. Barry and a supervisor at El Paso Manufacturing. Special thanks to Dr. Raul Portillo and all the staff at El Paso Cancer Treatment Center and the nurses at Las Palmas Hospital. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with a vigil at 7:00 pm. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 9:00 am on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
