Gordon "Buzz" Horstman

Gordon R. Horstman (BUZZ) was born in La Crosse, WI, September 19, 1948 and went to be with our Lord on March 12, 2010. His Father, Robert J. Horstman, preceded him in death. He was married for almost 40 years to his wife, Emily. She survives him along with their two sons, Jason and Robert, seven grandchildren, his Mother, Shirley, and three brothers, Daniel, Steve, and Brian. Buzz served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1990. Being a man of great character, he was always there for others. He was a quiet man with a good heart and a great steward of his God-given gifts. Buzz was a Master Mason with Five Points Lodge 1137; held several offices with the Arizona-New Mexico Moose Association; Past Governor and Administrator of El Paso, TX Moose Lodge 2641; and Junior Governor of Chaparral, NM Moose Lodge 2080. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8919 and a member of American Legion, Post 0832. We are thankful to have shared our lives with a man who cheerfully gave of his time and efforts. Visitation will be from 2:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm. A private family burial is scheduled for a later date.
