Gloria Oropeza Puchi

Gloria Oropeza Puchi, 81, a life long resident of El Paso, TX, left us on August 17, 2011 to be with our heavenly Father. Preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Petra Oropeza and her siblings Manuel and Anita Oropeza. Gloria lived a very fulfilling life by caring for family and friends. She had a passion for arts and crafts and enjoyed meeting fellow crafters along the way. Mom will always be remembered as the angel one could count on and lend a helping hand. Survived by her loving and devoted husband George M. Puchi of 63 years of marriage and 4 loving daughters, Nancy Montes (Mario Montes), Patsy Puchi (Paul Ortega), Christine Puchi (Art Cortez) and Deborah Ortez (Frank Ortez, Jr.). Grandma Yoya was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Jacob, Erik, Marlo, Natalie, Allyshea, Bryan and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings Elvira Villanueva, Queta Valdez, Roberto Oropeza, Salvador Rodriguez, Richard Valdivia, Juan Valdivia and Lupe Valdivia. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm, Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home with a Vigil at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, August 22, 2011 at San Antonio Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West.
