Gloria Mitchell

Gloria Lorraine Mitchell, 86 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2008. Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Mitchell, her parents, Ledda Early and Ralph Daemmer and her nephews SSG Wilburn T. Anderson, Jr. and Dr. Joseph P. McGee, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Tischler, her niece, Mary Lou McGee, her beloved friends, Alma Gaston and Sofia Hubbard and her family, as well as her church family and friends at Apollo Heights Baptist Church. Gloria was born in Haslem, TX. She and her husband moved from California to El Paso in 1977 following her retirement from Hughes Aircraft. She adored the children she taught in her Sunday school class and was a member of the church choir for many years. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 6:00 pm at Apollo Heights Baptist Church, 10450 Kenworthy 79924 821-7352. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Apollo Heights Baptist Church. Service entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
