Gloria O. Mavy

Gloria O. Mavy, 71, brightened the world on January 14,1950. She grew up in El Paso, Texas with her brother Paul, mother Eduarda and father Elsmore Mavy. She was a graduate from Ysleta High School, class of ‘69. It was around this time she met Virgilio Perez Sr, who, in 1972, was lucky enough to marry her. They lived a wonderful life together and had four children, three sons and one daughter. She was a positive soul that took on all obstacle’s life threw at her. She battled her illness without fear or doubt. She loved her job as a security guard and took great pride in her work. She was a beautiful soul whose presence brought happiness to everyone in her life. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful person with a heart big enough to give all who met her, love and happiness. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eduarda and Elsmore Mavy. Her memory is cherished and lives on by her husband Virgilio Perez Sr; her children, Virgilio (Kristin), Steve (Robert), Adrian (Marlaina), Gloria (Valerie); and her brother Paul. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren. She is not gone but continues to live within us. Te amamos Madre y siempre te amaremos pasita linda. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Vigil/Rosary at 6:00 PM, Friday, February 26, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be at 10:45 AM, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 N. Loop. Graveside will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
