Gloria A. Del Val

Gloria A. Del Val, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 14, 2024. Gloria was born in Veracruz, Mexico on March 29, 1926 and had lived in El Paso for more than 70 years.

Gloria sold Avon products for more than forty years, winning many President Club awards. She enjoyed attending church, reading her bible, and visiting with friends and family. She really enjoyed knitting blankets, hats, scarfs, baby clothes and sweaters - and would usually have several knitting projects going on at the same time.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother Alejandrina (Flores) Talavera, her husband Arnaldo Del Val, all her brothers and sisters, her son-in-law Frank Lara, and her great grandson Christopher Benson.

Gloria leaves behind a son Sergio (Velia) Del Val, two daughters Alejandrina (Alan) Bauer, and Bertha Lara. She was loved by her grandchildren: Becky Rivera, Aide Benson, Gloria Orozco, Frank Lara III, Irene Defesche, Ben Del Val, Denise Flores, and Lorraine Rodriguez; her great grandchildren Stephanie, Celeste, Adriana, Lauren, Frank IV, Kelsey, Josh, Marco, Jacob L., Mark, Jayden, Elija, Matthew O., Jacob R., Matthew B., Emily, Jenna, Aubrey, Ethan and her great-great grandchildren: Leo, Emery, and Hitomi.

Special thanks to her loving care provider Vero and the Medical professionals at 1st Choice Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00pm, Thursday, October 17 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East, 750 N. Carolina.

Chapel Service will be held at 12-noon on Friday, October 18 at Sunset Funeral Homes- East. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Evergreen East Cemetery.
