Gilberto Romero

Gilberto Romero, Msgt. Retired USAF. Born April 17, 1919 in San Ignacio, NM., went home to the Lord on March 13, 2009. Preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Antonia (1968), and his son, Carlos Ramon (2008). He will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Juana Esther; his daughters (“the monkeys”), Amy and Toni, daughter-in-law, Carol; son-in-law, Paul; grandchildren, Daria, Victoria, Elena, Paul Michael, and Angelina; and great grandchildren, Aubriana, Summer, Andrew, Carlos, and Ben. Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 pm, Monday, March 16, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Northeast with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
