Gilbert Daniel Calderon

Gilbert Daniel Calderon, 60, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving wife and children on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Born December 15, 1949 in El Paso, Dan resided in El Paso his entire life and graduated from Austin High School in 1968. He worked in the optical business for 23 years. He is survived by his wife Mary, his four sons, Michael, Mario, Julian and Cesar; brother, Bill; sisters Rosie Alvillar (Steve) and many relatives and friends. Pallbearers, Michael Calderon, Mario Calderon, Julian Calderon, Caesar Calderon, Bill Calderon, Steve Alvillar and George Piñon. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home-West with a Vigil at 7:00 pm. There will be a Mass in his honor at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
