Gertrud Rivera

Gertrud (Trudy) Rivera, 78 from El Paso, Texas passed away January 19, 2024. Gertrud Rivera was born in Esslingen, Germany. She came to the United States as a young adult and much later through marriage to Gilberto Rivera Cosme (predeceased) came to reside in El Paso, Texas. Trudy was a Home Healthcare worker until her retirement. Trudy was an avid cruiser and enjoyed travelling. She was a very devoted wife and took great pride in her family including her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Bianka Alvarado, step daughter Gilda and husband Terrell Smith, step sons Gilberto Jr., and wife Patricia Rivera, Carlos (Charlie), and wife Sandra Rivera- along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is also survived by her niece Sabrina and husband Tomas Pollack from Germany. She is predeceased by her parents Friedrick and Erna Walter and 7 siblings from Germany, and step daughter Blanca Watson. Committal Service will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
