Gerardo Polanco

Gerardo Polanco, 36 years old passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, “Jerry” was born on June 12, 1976 in Brownsville, Texas, son of Ruben Polanco (Preceded in Death) and Blanca Polanco. He is survived by his mother Blanca, his son Christian Polanco, and brothers Jesus and Sergio Polanco, Sister-in-Law Yolanda Polanco, nephews Sergio R. Polanco(USAF) and Mauricio Polanco(USMC), and Veronica Chacon(Girlfriend). Velazquez family, O’Leary family, Dicken Family, Olivas Family, Brock Family, Munoz families, Guerra family, Matos family, and many, many friends. He grew up and lived in El Paso. He loved music and enjoyed writing songs that touched the hearts of many. He was a wonderful father who loved and enjoyed time with his son. He was a great brother and wonderful son. He cared for people and was always willing to help those around him. He lit any room he walked into with his friendly smile and huge sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by family and friends, yet never forgotten. He will be in our hearts and thoughts forever. He leaves us a legacy of Joy and Love. A Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00pm, with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00pm, on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am, on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and Interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
