Geraldine Lamb was born on January 2, 1952 in Moonshine, LA to the late Melvina Dennis and Aaron Bergeron. She departed this life on Monday, August 28, 2023.
After graduating from St. James High School in 1971, Geraldine moved to Copperas Cove, TX to live with her oldest sister, Shirley. While in Copperas Cove, Geraldine would meet her husband, Paul Lamb Sr. while working on the Army Base, Ft. Cavazos (formerly Ft. Hood, TX). in April 1974 Geraldine and Paul would marry. To this union, two children were born: Paul Lamb Jr. and Jarvis Lamb. To say Geraldine loved her family is an understatement. To know her is to love her. Geraldine was a phenomenal wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had an infectious smile and personality and loved spending time with her family and playing Pokeno with her friends. During football season, she would cheer for both the Saints and the Redskins. Geraldine has definitely left her mark on the hearts of all that knew her.
As a military spouse, Geraldine lived in Texas, Florida and Germany. She was considered “Mom” to several soldiers under her husband’s command. After her husband’s retirement in 1986, El Paso, TX would become home. Geraldine worked at the Commissary located on Ft. Bliss for 39 years. She was known as the “Work Mom”.
