George H. Garza, 56, of El Paso, Texas went home to Jesus peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was a devoted son, beloved husband, and a loving father. He served the city of El Paso Police Department for 29 years. He was a dedicated bailiff with the Juvenile Probation Department, an esteemed Warrior volunteer at Bel Air Middle School, and a member of Abundant Living Faith Center. George had a heart of gold. He had a great sense of humor and was generous to his family and friends. George is survived by his wife; Debra Davis Garza of 28 years, daughter; Camille Renae Garza, mother-in-law; Rachel Davis, sister-in-law; Vera Zubia (Nacho), nieces; Rachel Villalobos (Joe), Terri Pinales (Raul Jr.), nephew; Tim Zubia, great-nieces; Rebecca Guerra (Jeremiah), Erynn Gonzalez (Allen Jr.), great nephews; James Cody Gonzalez, Marc Zachary Guerra, cousins; Elvia Pisarcik (Robert), Aurora Garza, Enrique Garza, Jr. (Katrina), Arturo Garza, Robert L. Pisarcik (Anne), Celeste Ornelas (Danny), god-daughter; Amanda Pisarcik, and very dear friend David Sierra, as well as countless number of extended family, friends, and brothers and sisters in the police force. He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador R. Garza and Maria Luisa B. Garza. Thank you to the ICU and Radiology Departments at the Hospitals of Providence East Campus for their loving care. Also thank you to CIMA Hospice for their support. A special thank you to Dr. Chukwu for his extra ordinary care, kindness, and concern. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 N. Loop Dr. with a prayer service officiated by Pastor Fred Sierra at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be at said at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. George will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana at 12:30 p.m. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
