Genoveva (Genny) P. Galindo entered into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at the age of 87. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and will be greatly missed. Genny was a dedicated English teacher at Bel-Air High School for 17 years. She devoted much of her time to bible study and was a parishioner at Queen of Peace for 25 years. Genny is preceded in death by her parents; Jose L. and Adela V. Pinon; and her loving husband; Alfredo M. Galindo. She is survived by her dearest children; Luis A. Galindo, Sonia Galindo, Denise M. Aranda, John R. Aranda (son in law); her siblings; Ernesto Pinon (“D”), Carmen Pacheco, (Andy Pacheco Sr.) Delia Mercado (Oscar Mercado). She is also survived by extended family and friends who cherish and honor her memory.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 09, 2024, at Sunset Funeral Home- West with a Rosary to commence at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1551 Belvidere Street, followed by a Graveside Service at 12:30 pm at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to St. Jude or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
