Gene Henderson

Gene Henderson passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the age of 67. Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His spirit, strength, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. Gene was a practicing CPA for more than 40 years also serving as president of the El Paso Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants from 1983-1984. After pursing his pilot's license, he confined his love of aviation to building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joye and Earl C. Henderson, brother-in-law, Ken Mathis, and nephews; Christopher Teeling and Greg Searcy. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Suzanne Henderson, daughter Meredith Henderson, sons; Barton Henderson, Trenton Henderson (Mandy), sister, Cindy Nance (John), sister-in-law Gloria Teeling, brother-in-law Philip Teeling, sister-in-law Freeda Mathis, grandchildren; Aiden Henderson, Krysten Henderson, and a 3rd expected in March of 2017, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 11:00AM – 1:00PM at Sunset Funeral Home West, 480 N. Resler.
