Garfield Darnell Green

Staff Sgt. Garfield Darnell Green 27 of Martinsburg, WV, born July 1, 1980 to John and Gloria Green, went to be with the Lord on Friday the 11th of January 2008 in El Paso, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 6 years Philomena Green, 4 children, Shytevia,7, Dontrey, 6, Marquis, 3, and Mya, 1, of El Paso, TX. He is also survived by his father and mother Rev. John and Gloria Green of Martinsburg, WV. One sister, Debroah Green of Martinsburg, WV and one brother, John and his wife Nikki of Summerville, S.C., three nephews and two nieces. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends, He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Elsie Green of Martinsburg, WV and Samuel D. McDowell of Kearneysville, WV and his grandmother Irene McDowell. He graduated from Martinsburg High School in 1999. Staff Sergeant Green served in the US Army for eight years. He served at Fort Bragg North Carolina for 3 years, Mannheim, Germany for 3 ½ years and El Paso, TX for 2 years. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 19, 2008 at Sage Hall located at 311 Pershing. Interment will be Private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
