Gabriel Luis Armendariz

Gabriel L. Armendariz, 61, of El Paso, Texas walked into heaven on July 28, 2020. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his parents, Ricardo and Nena Armendariz, his brother, Raul Armendariz (Pat Francis), his wife of 23 years, Alma Armendariz, his children, Armando A. Pioquinto and Stephanie M. Romero (Luis Romero) and 10 grandchildren (Amber, Dominique, Marcos, Jordyn, Aeris, Antonio, Mateo, Mason, Olivia, and Mia), two sister in laws (Linda M. Potts and Carolina Reyes), a brother in law, Ricardo Martinez, Sr., one nephew and two nieces, Ricardo Martinez, Jr. (Claudia), Jennifer Martinez, and Amanda Martinez, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gabe loved family with all his heart. He was a lover of all animals, especially Lucy and Sofia, who miss him dearly. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears, the music group Chicago, and all music in general. He loved his second family, Austin Panther 76er’s, and all his lifelong friendships. He loved to make people feel good and laugh. He received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from UTEP and dedicated his professional life as a helping professional working at LULAC Project Amistad, Adult Protective Services, and Child Protective Services.
