Fred Hammons

Fred Hammons was born in Harlan, Kentucky on May 27th, 1923 and went to be with the Lord on April 18th, 2013. He proudly served in the US Army in both WW2 at Pearl Harbor and Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Cassie Hammons; brothers, Clyde and Tom; and sisters, Clara and Ramona. He is survived by his wife Merle; sons, Darrell and wife Barbara, Terry and wife Rebecca; and grandchildren, Bethany, Andrea, Annalisa, Mark, and Amy. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM with Funeral Service to begin at 9:45 AM on Friday, April 26, 2013 at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church, 10500 Kenworthy. Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.
