Fred Alfred E. White

In Loving Memory of Alfred E. "Fred" White, May 20, 1950 – December 3, 2024

 Alfred E. White, lovingly known as Fred, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in his hometown of El Paso, Texas, at the age of 74. A lifelong resident of El Paso, Fred was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth, humor, and kindness touched everyone around him.

 Fred graduated from Ysleta High School, where he was a proud member of the band. After high school, he embarked on a remarkable 41-year career with El Paso Electric Company, where his dedication and work ethic made a lasting impact. Outside of work, Fred was a man of many passions. He loved woodworking, tinkering, and crafting unique creations that brought joy to his loved ones. He had a knack for making everyone laugh and loved playing games, collecting cool and unusual gadgets and “treasures”, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

 Fred found immense joy in traveling with his beloved wife of 32 years, Alayne Dian White, and spending quality time with his cherished grandchildren. Known for his many hats, his love of Dr. Pepper, and his infectious sense of humor, Fred brought light and laughter to every moment.

 Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Elfredda White and Geneva Ruth Johnson; his siblings, Kay Brunson, Jolene Williams, and Sonny White; and his son, David I. White. He is survived by his loving wife, Alayne; his children, Christopher Raymon White (Genevieve), Jonathon White (Shari), Tiffany Dian Meehan (Michael), and Justin Lee Rutledge (Erika); and his brothers, David White (Leslie), Doyle Tabor, and Mitchell White. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Grace White, Bret White, Harrison Meehan, Hutch Meehan, Jack White, and Nyla Meehan, along with a large extended family and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.

 Fred’s legacy of love, laughter, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

 A Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Homes-West with a Funeral Service to commence at 11:00am.
