Francisco “Pancho” Villegas, 74, passed away December 26, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 11 yrs. Alicia and his sons Francisco, wife Marissa, Jose Luis, wife Sandra, Jorge, wife Vicky, and numerous grandchildren. Pancho, as known by his family and friends, served in the Army until he was honorably discharged, worked for Given Paint for over thirty years and served his beloved church for over forty years. He was also a member of the Roaring Twenties Softball League, in which he played and managed his team to numerous championships. Frank is also survived by his brother Roberto Villegas of San Diego, CA, and preceded in death by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Maria de la Luz Escarzaga de Villegas, his mother Felisa Villegas, his beloved nanny, Silviana Sanchez, brother in law and his wife, Manuel and Esperanza Escarzaga, brother in law Hector Terrazas, and nephew, Mark Escarzaga. Our dad was a kind, loving, and gentle man that was respected by many and loved by all. Pop, we will miss you dearly, viva “La Bowie.” Visitation will be on from 4-9 pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina, with a Vigil beginning at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 7712 Rosedale. Interment will follow at Evergreen East. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-East.
