Francisca Veloz

Francisca Veloz, 94, passed away April 20, 2013. She was born on February 6, 1919 and was a life-long resident of El Paso. Frances is preceded in death by her daughter, Lorraine Jordan. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Rios, son Marcelo Veloz (Gail), grandchildren, Angela Army (Nick), Erik Jordan, Nicole Jordan and Nancy Veloz; great-grandchildren, Anthony Veloz, Alexis Barreras, Crystal Sennett (Jake), Kaitlyn Ramirez, Evelyn Munoz, Madison Army, Uriah Army, and cousins, Olivia Sanchez and Connie Braden. Frances was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved being around her family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 9:00 am-11:00 am, with a rosary at 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home-East, 750 N. Carolina Dr., Cremation to follow. God saw she was getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered, “Come home with me”. With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating; a determined spirit was at rest…God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
