Francis Charles Gonzales

Francis Charles Gonzales passed away on Thursday. March 23rd, 2017. Francis (Speedy) (Buddy), was born in Cokedale, Colorado on December 2nd, 1943 He proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years before retiring. After retiring from the Army, he worked a civil service job at Mc Gregor Range. He also worked for the El Paso Sheriff’s Department for 8 years. He was active with his local VFW post, He was also a Shriner and a Mason. Francis was preceeded in death by his parents; Cipriano and Zelma Gonzales, his sister; Marlene Duran; his wife Wally Gonzales and his grandson Brandon Gonzales. He leaves behind his wife of 8 years, Cathy Roach, sons Frank and Patrick Gonzales, son Michael Huy, daughters; Linda Gerlinger, Birgit Leahy, and Carol White. 10 grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast. Committal Service will be 10:30 am on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes Northeast.
