Frances Adelle Walker 85, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020.
Frances was born in Cuba, Missouri on September 1, 1935. She was the last surviving of 10 siblings. She married her teenage sweetheart, William (Bill) Walker, on June 6, 1953.
Frances was loved by all who were lucky enough to meet her. It is said she never met a stranger because within a minute they were her friend. She was a long-time Girl Scout Leader, earning one of the highest awards for bringing the first Girl Scout cookies to military bases in Germany. She was the President of the Carrera Region of the Porsche Club of America for many years and also showed her car in many concourse events. She loved to bowl and play softball. She coached Bobby Sox softball and pitched in fast and slow pitch leagues.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara Walker.
She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, William Walker, daughters Patricia Adams and Janet Walker. Grandchildren Jennifer Eldridge, Kelly Scharmack, Will Gardea, JC Gardea and Great grandchildren Quinn and Connor Eldridge, Koa and Kai Scharmack.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home- Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr. Family may not be present during visitation due to social distancing requirements. We understand how much she meant to so many people and are therefore holding a visitation, allowing those who wish to do so the opportunity to pay their last respects. Please sign the guest register so the family is aware of everyone that paid last respects to our dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
