Frances Veronica Patterson

Frances Veronica Patterson, born July 15, 1941, (70) went on to be with the Lord on February 25, 2012. She was born and raised in Bronx, New York before moving to El Paso, Texas in 1976. She was Baptized as a young woman at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Brooklyn, NY. Frances was also a faithful member of the Mt Zion Baptist Church in El Paso where she served as a member of the Nurses Guild Ministry and member of the Host of Zion Choir. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also worked as a cook for the El Paso School District, the Dept of the Army and the Child Crisis Center. She will be truly missed by her family and those who had the pleasure to know her. She is survived by her children Willie Frye, Alicia Williams, Darin Frye, Derrick Frye, and Kevin Frye, Mother, Victorine Mathis, Sisters, Helen Wheatley, Patricia Taylor, Ruth Taylor Coleman, and Brothers, William Taylor, Alfred Taylor, Walter Taylor and Vincent Taylor. She was preceded in death by her Father, William Reader Taylor, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will begin Friday, March 2, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast with Visitation to be held from 6pm-8pm. Celebration will continue with church services on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 3400 Wyoming at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
