Frances Ingram Schade Conklin passed away February 8, 2020 at age 84. Born in El Paso on July 2, 1935 she now joins her parents John Edmond Ingram & Emily Garcia, Walter J. Schade 3rd, daughter Kathern S. Bohling, and late husband James C. Conklin. Frances is survived by her sister Jeannette I. Kelly, daughter Darlene S. Peterson, son Ronald J. Schade & grandson Dorian S., daughter Lisa Marie C. Fisher & great grandchildren Ainsley J. & Cordero K. Fisher.
Living her whole life as a resident of El Paso, Frances attended Loretto Catholic Academy & Austin High School. Frances was actively involved in many city/state organizations, boards and was President of other organizations. Later in life she and James owned Conklin & Conklin Construction Co. As an accomplished artist and business woman she opened a successful shop, Casa De Santiago, in Old Mesilla, NM. Soon to realize her true love for art & collecting she developed a successful business and very large customer base for her series of religious saints now represented on every continent. She is known as “The Saint Lady” of Las Cruses.
Services will be held February 24, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass, El Paso, TX.
