Florencia A. Sambrano (Lencha), 91, passed away February 28, 2017. She was born in El Paso, Texas on February 8, 1926. She attended Bowie High School. Lencha later married the love of her life in 1943, Alfredo (Chino). She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Alter and Rosary Society. She was a loving homemaker, loved gardening, cooking and looking after her pet, China. She is preceded in death by her parents Longino and Luz Aguilar. She is preceded in death also by her spouse, Alfredo and Baby Sambrano. She is survived by her daughters, Velia (George) Youakim, Melissa (Niny) and Emily; sons, Alfred (Leticia) and Samuel (Nancy); grandsons, George Michael and Michael Alfred (McKenzie); granddaughter, Alyssa Turrieta; and great grandchildren Giada, Giovanni, Sydney and Samantha; brother, Edmundo Aguilar (Celia); sister, Amparo Lujan (Enrique). Pallbearers to serve will be Alfred Sambrano, Samuel Sambrano, George Youakim, George Michael, Michael Youakim, Rose Medina. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice and Integra Home Health Care as well as her care givers Marisela and Nena for all their love and support during our mother’s difficult time. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home Northeast located at 4631 Hondo Pass. Mass of the Resurrection will be said at by Father Daniel Martinez at 9:00am on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 2709 Alabama. Committal Service to follow at Evergreen Alameda Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
