Filimon Sanchez Herrera, 78, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2009. Mr. Herrera retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 32 years. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Elva Herrera, and parents, Tomas & Aurora Herrera. He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Herrera of 54 years; children, Alfredo Herrera, and Cynthia Flores; grandchildren, Filimon Herrera II, Adrian Herrera, Jessica Flores, and Asia Flores; great grandchildren, Aiden Herrera, and Alazae Padilla; brothers, Tomas, and Gilbert Herrera; sisters, Alicia Herrera, Bertha Orona, Rosenda Hinojos, and Cruz Villareal; brother in law, Manuel Chavez, and son in law, James Flores. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas. Interment will be private. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-Americas.
