Fernando Arrieta, 69, passed on to our heavenly Father’s kingdom, Saturday, May 6, 2023. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. He graduated from Clint High School in 1972. Fernando went on to work for Wrangler and Levi’s Strauss. However, his passion was truck driving and joined Southwest Freight Lines for 22 years. He also loved his 1976 Camaro and enjoyed watching car restoration shows. Fernando is preceded in death by his son Norman Arrieta; parents Felipe and Nicolasa Arrieta and brother Carlos Arrieta. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Norma Arrieta and sons Rick and Stephen. Brother, Hector and sisters Carol, Lydia, Rosie and Norma. Left to cherish his memory are his grandkids Eleany, Aiden, Andrew, Matthew, David, Eli, Jacob, Stephen Jr, Lucas, Brandon, and Alexia along with many nieces and nephews. He was dearly loved by all his family and friends. Fernando will be sincerely missed.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM on May 15, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr., El Paso, Texas 79907. Mass will begin at 10:30 AM on May 16, 2023 at St's Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 673 Old Hueco Tanks Rd, El Paso, Texas 79927. Burial will take place at a later date. Pallbearers: Stephen Arrieta, Rick Arrieta, Mark Arrieta, Peter Ramirez, Dominique Ramirez, Benjamin Sierra, George Lopez, Oscar Hernandez, Nicholas Ramirez.
