Federico L. Madrid

MSG Fred L. Madrid, Ret., born in Hillsboro, NM, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 in his El Paso home at the age of 87. He was surrounded by his family. Mr. Madrid retired from the U.S. Army after 22 yrs of service and was a veteran of WWI & WWII and received honorable discharge. He is survived by his loving wife, Clara of 25 years, step son David Tarin, Jr., step daughters Yolie Tarin and Patty Quintanilla, step grandchildren Cindy Valenzuela and Robert C. Quintanilla, 3 daughters from a previous marriage, Betty, Linda and Jenny. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers Lalo & Nabor, 2 sisters Chavela & Mequi and 2 sons from his previous marriage, Fred Jr. and Ramon. He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial Mass: 12 noon on Tuesday, January 20th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal Service to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
